Hermès Scarf 90 cm – Chevaux des Empereurs Moghols – Jean de Fougerolle (1993)
VENDU
A true tribute to the art of imperial India, this scarf illustrates the central place of the horse in the Mughal dynasty, between hunting scenes and court entertainments. For the original 1993 edition, the artist Jean de Fougerolle created a work of miniature-like finesse, in which every detail of harness and movement recalls the richness of Oriental illuminated manuscripts.

A word from Diane: It is sometimes difficult to capture the real depth of this design in a photograph. The colour palette is of rare elegance, blending softness and character. This is a scarf that reveals itself fully once knotted, offering a complex and refined play of motifs. A piece particularly sought after by collectors for its perfect balance between the equestrian heritage of Hermès and the exoticism of the Mughal Empire.
